    Description

    Pair of colorful RED LABEL rectangular spice tins from S. S. PIERCE CO. of Boston. Ground allspice and ground cayenne pepper contents are still in them.  Net weight is 4 ounces, cayenne pepper tin weighs 5.2 ounces and allspice tin 4.6 ounces today. Coloring is bright with gold accents, with minor wear. Bottoms are in much cleaner condition than tops with their sliders. I imagine that if the contents were removed, tops could be scrubbed to look nicer. Tins measure about 4 1/4" high and 1 1 /4" wide. Great kitchen vintage!
